I showed you recently how I make homemade peanut butter. It is a natural progression to show you how I eat it. A lot of the peanut butter was used in making sandwiches for my daughter’s lunch box. You can also eat Peanut butter with garden eggs and even apples!
Where I could, I used brown bread. When I couldn’t find any, I used white. The day I took these pictures, I only had white. Feel free to use brown bread for an even healthier meal/snack.
The jelly I used was carefully chosen. It is made from fruit (of course), sweetened with fruit (as opposed to sugar or high fructose corn syrup e.t.c) and has some fiber thrown in (who doesn’t need fiber in their diet). There was another Polaner product in the store which I did not buy because I read the label and was able to make an informed decision. I will do a quick post on that later.
Pack these as a snack for your kids or for yourself to go to work. PB&Js are fantastic in our weather as they last a considerably long time without needing to carry in an insulated bag with icepacks.
