…but my head isn’t in the right place. Nigeria is on fire and it feels surreal to speak about hair and other such matters in the face of such wahala (problems).

I try not to bring my Nigerian wahala to this blog – in fact, I had to promise myself at the very beginning that I wouldn’t discuss politics or the state of the nation here as once a Nigerian starts talking about these things, it is difficult to simmer down. Ā
I have used my twitter (@naturalnigerian) and facebookĀ accountsĀ to express how I feel about the goings on in the country. However, how much of a Natural Nigerian would I be if I didn’t dedicate at least one post on my blog to those that were (and unfortunately are still going to be) the victims of the senseless attacks in Northern Nigeria?
It is my belief that as human spirits, we come to this world to learn and experience. It is my wish for the deceased that the result of their experiences will lead them to a lighter place as they pass on from this world.Ā

It is indeed a difficult choice. May the souls of the dead rest in peace.

Thank God I’m not alone. I feel the same way. Nigeria needs solutions now o…that’s all that fills my mind these days. Workable solutions not academic ones and most definitely not criticism and hate!!

I absolutely understand your point sis. May God heal Nigeria.

I also never really wanted to discuss politics on my blog.. but it goes beyond the government. Opinions must be voiced and I never want to wish I had said something. Writing is one of the only ways I am really able to express my thoughts on the matter and what better platform then my blog. š
May the lives lost R.I.P.

My dear, its heartbreaking. The insecurity is also scary, cos it could be anybody, anywhere.
May God help and heal us…. Amen

Hmmmm, God is our refuge in such troubled times. Abi what can we do when the leadership can’t seem to get a hang of this?
