As you know, the Lagos Natural Hair meet up will be on the 22nd of November! I gave you some information here on what to expect. There was too much information to cram it all into one post, so here we go again!
We’ve teamed up with a Dr. Agility (lovely name, right?) founder of Purejoie Consulting to hold a Medical Hair Clinic at the meet up. This is actually very important as a lot of people that have hair issues actually have underlying medical problems which prevent their hair from growing. Asking for help from hair bloggers is not always the way to go. A doctor or trichologist can turn your hair story around and maybe even save your life in the process.
Think I am being dramatic? I have said it before at meet ups and in this post that diseases usually present themselves in the finger nails and hair because the body prioritizes nutrient distribution and will give nutrients to your hair and skin last. That in itself is indicative of a person who is lacking in nutrients, at the very least. If your hair refuses to grow, seek medical help! There will be a “consultation room” so you will be assured of privacy.
Please note that this is a paid service. It cost N10,000 and you need to register in order to see the doctor on the day. She will ask detailed questions and take her time to diagnose and work out a regimen so expect to spend a minimum of 30 minutes (it may run longer) with her. We will
